New England Sports Academy (NESA) today
announced the appointment of Bob Phillips as
General Manager and Karen Brenner as Manager of
Community Outreach.
Phillips will oversee all day-to-day
operations for the company. Brenner will work
with pre-schools, after-school programs and
other institutions to develop local physical
education programs.
Prior to joining NESA, Mr. Phillips served as
publisher of the Improper Bostonian magazine,
where he oversaw a period of increased revenue
and circulation. Mr. Phillips also served as a
managing director with Verizon, working in a
number of different capacities including
strategic business planning, budgeting and
finances.
Mr. Phillips earned a Masters of Science in
Management as well as a Bachelors of Science
degree from Lesley University.
Prior to joining NESA, Ms. Brenner worked as
a recruiter and administrator for the VNA/Wayside
Hospice in Wayland, MA. She also has served as a
volunteer coordinator at Temple Beth David in
Westwood and a Spanish teacher in Belmont, MA.
Ms. Brenner earned a Bachelors of Arts degree
from Emory University in Atlanta, GA.
