Here at New England Sports Academy we continually strive
to create new and innovative ways for your child to achieve
the most out of their sport experience. Beginning this
summer of 2006, NESA will be giving its recreational
gymnasts the opportunity to join and compete in the fall at
the USA Gymnastics Prep Optional Program.
USAG PREP OP is an alternative to the Competitive Program
for USAG registered athletes. This program is intended to
allow gymnasts the opportunity to compete, while not having
the rigorous demand that a traditional competitive program
would have. There are three levels in PREP OP- Novice,
Intermediate, and Advanced. Novice level gymnasts would be
compared to NESA’s recreational levels one and two.
Intermediate level gymnasts would be equivalent to NESA’s
recreational level three, and Advanced level gymnasts would
be most similar to NESA’s recreational levels four through
ten.
We now offer an optional extra practice on Fridays for
all Prep Op levels.

The USAG PREP OP competitive season begins in the late
fall. Gymnasts will be able to choose to compete in six or
more competitions. Recreational competition is a fun and
rewarding experience for all who choose to participate in
it. Now NESA recreational gymnasts have the option of taking
their gymnastics experience to the next level.
