The main objective of the soccer program at NESA is to give
the child the opportunity to develop his or her skills
through use of drills and demonstrations of proper
technique, to create the perfect atmosphere for the child to
enjoy a soccer experience without pressure. To achieve this
goal each “player” is placed in an appropriate environment
such as recreational, pre-team or team classes based on age
and skill level. No matter the age, gender, or skill level
we have the right class for you.

Tony Marino tmarino@nesacademy.com
Tony brings with him an impressive background in soccer- both as a coach
and a former player. Tony has been on the UMASS Lowell soccer coaching
staff for the past five years. While an Assistant at UML, he helped
propel that program to national prominence in NCAA Division II. While he
was at UML, Tony was also a staple at the Inter Soccer Club of Boston
club system, where he coached for six years. At the time of his
departure from Inter SC, he served as the head coach of the girls U-11
and U-12 teams and was co-director of the junior’s program (U-7 through
U-10). In 2002 Tony served as the head coach of the U-15 girls, having
led it to the Massachusetts State Cup Championship, and US Soccer Region
1 Semi-finals in Niagara Falls, NY. Tony was also a head coach for New
Hampshire Olympic Development Program (ODP).
Additionally, Marino was the Director of Soccer at the Sports World
Center in Tewksbury, MA. At Sports World, he developed and maintained
relationships with surrounding soccer communities to enhance the soccer
culture in the greater Merrimack Valley area by creating off-season
leagues, training programs, and coaching education courses. He also
assisted to create Sports World Elite Athletic Training (S.W.E.A.T.)
Soccer Academy, which hosted soccer clinics for over 150 youth players
each winter. Each year he created more specific programs to match
players' specific demands: advanced footskills, goalkeeping, striker
school, speed and agility.
A graduate of Franklin Pierce University, Marino was a three-year
forward/attacking midfielder and helped the Ravens to a collective
record of 38-14-3. Previously, he was a three-year starter at Lewis S.
Mills H.S in Burlington, CT, where he won the Connecticut State
Championship as a senior.
